I have been in this business for a while, so I think I know what I am doing. I have not run across any DVD that I could not copy...until now. I have tried DVD2ONE, DVD Shrink, and CLone DVD to no avail (all latest editions). I have tried to decrypt the files with DVD Decrypter and smart Ripper, but I keep getting the same result. I have tried movie only and full disk only to copy the disk and find out it will not play. When I try to preview the movie (on my hard drive), the movie pillexates and the sound and picture is choppy.

Anyone have this problem before and have a fix for it?

Just to be clear, exactly where in the process does the corruption occur? I've encoutered bad rips before, where the original is read corrupt (but Decryptor doesn't give any error messages). Can you copy it to your HD (1to1, no proccessing) and play the resulting files without error?

I can copy to my hard drive using DVD Decrypter and Smart Ripper, but the files are not viewable.

do you get the corruption when playing from the dvd(not ripped) on your pc ?

does any of the transcoders throw an error when you try to use the files ?
if not then let them proceed and burn to a dvdrw. then try that on your standalone dvd player.

I can play the original DVD on any stand alone DVD, to include my computer. However, when I rip to the hard drive, or go striaght from the DVD using DVD Shrink, the resulting file is corrupt. When I attempt to view the saved movie after DVD Shrink has analyzed it, there is a green screen where the movie should be, and I get garbled audio and video.

I don't know what I did wrong. As I stated, I have backed up many of my DVD's, but I have never had this problem.

It sounds like CSS isn't being removed. Try searching the decrypting subforum (http://forum.doom9.org/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=9).

I used dvd shrink 3.17 and it works fine.

if you are having a prob with shrink, uninstall it then reinstall it after a restart.

also with shrink you dont need anything else running. So make sure everything down by your clock is turned off. Like anydvd, antivirus stuff or anything else.

also it seems that the more dvd software you have installed such as shrink, IC8, dvd2one ect. the worse a job becomes for all of them.
They must be using shared dll files or something.

But just a sugestion. It can be ripped. Something is just off.
