Hi folks, I searched the forums without luck, so here it is...
I have a true 8x (memorex) which was burning great with DVDFab. I did the Pioneer 107D firmware upgrade (DVR-107D v1.13 - RPC-1 + 12xRip + nx4all.zip) and now when I go to burn with DVDFab, I get "Failed when writing DVD image(hardware error 29184)".
I tried to do a burn using Nero6.0 and got a fail error as well until I used 4X burn speed which allows a good write. I can't seem to figure out how to slow the drive down for DVDFab or even if this is the trouble. I am using (have been using) Verbatim DVD-R media. Pulling what little hair I have left out and making coasters...
