Ive been reading through the forum and am having problems absorbing all information. I use instant copy to back up DVd's but im having bad crash problems when writing off, as ive read many others are. Ive been reading about creating a PDI with instant then either changing to an iso, or using dvd decryptor to write back. But then someoneis also talking about Volume labels and basically im just plain confused
Anyone know a guide, or a quick write up of what to do?

Doom9's guides are good, but you also might want to check out DVDR Digest (http://www.dvdr-digest.com/articles/). They have some excellent beginners guides and tend to pick a method and fully explain it/walk you thru it. They also have multiple guides covering the same topics, so you can choose the one you can follow best. Doom9's scope is a little more broad in terms of tools/methods, but more narrow in guide selection for each tool/method, so it is not as newbie friendly.
Another good place is mrbass' site (http://www.mrbass.org/) as it just focuses on DVD to DVD-R backup. It's not as well organized (sorry mrbass) in terms of guides, and formatting, but he has links to all kinds of tools and lists many specific tools that are not in Doom9's downloads, or hard to find there. (such as the tools for turning PDIs to ISOs).

DVD Decypter will burn InstantCopy's PDI's directly, no conversions are necessary.
