I cap cartoons using vdub and use vdubmod to cut out the commercials.
usually each cartoon episode is between 6-8 minutes long. since the toons air for 90 minutes everyday, there is alot to cut and edit. I cut the commercials out and encode them all as one huge divx using 2 pass. each episode comes out to between50 and 60 megs. thats fine. the thing is that since after IM done encoding I load the divx file back into vdubmod and cut out each individual episode. the problem is that sometimes a keyframe isnt between episodes, it overlaps a cut.
my question is is there a way to mark a frame prior to encoding to make sure it gets encoded as a keyframe? or what are the effects on quality and filesize if I set divx to make a keyframe every 1.0 seconds?
any help would be appreciated.
