View Full Version : Vob/Cell Id in D2V file versus D2F file ?
I've been implementing the code to generate D2F files. These files just add the Vob/Cell ID values.
I'm wondering why bother having a separate file when I can just add it to the D2V file and have MPEG2DEC3dg skip it.
The downside of that is you'd get it only for dg-style D2V files.
So, do you users want that or a separate D2F file? And why?

I'd say just include it in the new style D2V file. It looks like Scenarist and other DVD authoring programs use these D2F files, so the only problem I'd see with that would be that these other programs might use an open dialog with a *.d2f filter. (I don't know if this is true or not)
But I don't think it makes sense to create a menu option that does nothing but save the file with a single character name difference. Especially when they could manually override the extension of a d2v file.
An alternative would be to put a d2f filter on the save dialog, so they could choose that instead.
You may want to post that question to the DVD Authoring forum though.
OK, I'll just put it in there.
BTW, I fixed VFAPI to convert to RGB correctly based on the pf flag. The chroma upsampling error!
