Hi all.

First of all I'd like to thank all of you guys for sharing all this information. I've been watching and reading these forums off and on again for a long time.

Recently I've captured my old VHS tapes and I'm trying to produce a DVD from them.

My simple question is as follows:

Is it possible to do a menu which has a continous audio between different menu pictures/options? It seems to me that you can attach only separate soundtrack per picture. This behaves so that the audio tracks start over every time a menu selection is made.

Still needs to be mentioned that I'm a complete newbie on this DVD compiling and authoring thingy.

The simple answer is no. The audio is indeed attached to the picture, so when you change the picture, you change the audio as well.

There might be a workaround that would include using different angles of the same video track as the menu screens. In this case, changing the screen will in fact change the angle, therefore allowing for uninterrupted audio. However, this is quite advanced stuff requiring use of professional applications like Scenarist and Maestro.

Hi and thanks for replying.

I think I'm going to settle for not having a seamless background music. That multiangle stuff sounds far too time consuming to even try with my level of skill.
