I downloaded the new CCE basic version this morning and am running a test with Rebuilder now. Looking at the changelog I could not see any immediate compatibility issues with Rebuilder, except to note the "DVD mode" notes in the supplied text file -

"DVD" mode was newly added to 2.69 program, and this affects 2.67 templates
and ecl files which include "DVD compliant" checked setting. If you setup
2.69 program without removing 2.67 program, some parameters will be changed
automatically. To avoid this, please clear "DVD compliant" check in your
2.67 templates and ecl files, then setup 2.69 program.

If your 2.67 templates and ecl files include "DVD compliant" checked,
the parameters below are automatically changed in 2.69:

I assume Rebuilder was automatically selecting "DVD Compliant" so not sure what will happen. My first test has fired up CCE with no apparent problems so fingeres crossed.

Thanks for the update. I got the Cinema Craft email notification yesterday and downloaded the upgrade last night; but I haven't tried it yet.

I gave rebuilder a tough one to try - multi episode large MB original. Process completed OK on one-click mode, but its undersized quite badly (3.83gb) although to be fair it did this with the previous CCE version.

The original structure has three main VTS's, one per episode, with the first one being larger (a pilot episode). Looks like Rebuilder has treated the other two title-sets as extra's and done a half D1 on them. In the AVS settings "Half Size D1" is not ticked for any of the Title Sets so I don't know why the Half D1 mode is being used at all.

Here is the script -

Phase I, PREPARATION started at 10:54:09
- Note: "Half-D1/Half Space for Extras" mode is enabled.
- VTS_02: 1,661,960 sectors.
-- Scanning and writing .D2V file
-- Processed 139,180 frames.
-- Building .AVS and .ECL files
- VTS_03: 942,758 sectors.
-- Scanning and writing .D2V file
-- Processed 69,305 frames.
-- Building .AVS and .ECL files
- VTS_04: 804,489 sectors.
-- Scanning and writing .D2V file
-- Processed 69,481 frames.
-- Building .AVS and .ECL files
- Reduction Level for DVD-5: 61.8%
- Overall Bitrate : 2,947Kbs
HALF-D1 Extras increased Main-Movie bitrate by 25.7%
- HIGH/LOW/AVERAGE Cell Bitrates: 3,806/1,252/2,947 Kbs

@DVDManiac

In the AVS settings "Half Size D1" is not ticked for any of the Title Sets so I don't know why the Half D1 mode is being used at all.

The setting for "Half-D1/Half Space for Extras" is acutally under the "Mode" settings. You have it enabled as displayed in the message window. By default the feature is disabled and requires user intervention to enable it.

Thanks, I should have spotted that!

So other than this under-size result (which was my fault for not using the right settings) the test worked out fine.

Now I understand how this feature works, I have spotted a problem when it comes to batch processing. If you want to do a batch run, some titles with no Half D1 compression and others not then it will not work. The Rebuilder batch config file does not save the Half D1 mode setting, so when you run in batch mode you have to run all your titles as either Half D1 mode active or not.

Can this be fixed so that when you setup the Job, it saves the desired Half D1 mode?

Thanks - its not a major issue as you can always just decide which mode you are going to run for your session. Most of my projects are taking in the order of 4-5 hours to run, so I a running a two job batch mode at night. I have plenty of jobs to run so I can just alternate which mode I am going to run each time.

With respect to the multi-episode title - it sized OK when the Half-D1 mode was off, but like you say, why did it undersize with the D1 mode on?
