What software is used to capture images from DVD's or Decrypted DVD files ?

For instance on dvd.box.sk, they run quality tests and capture images to compare burning software. Like in the following artical:
http://dvd.box.sk/articles12.php

They capture the images to show what the best software is, how did they capture the EXACT point in the dvd for both burns?

Thanks

:stupid:

BTW I read somewhere that you need a capture card... is this true, or can the software capture with out any extra HARDWARE, if all I want to do is capture Images to compare.

my guess would be that after the movie was burnt they played it back throu something like media player classic and used the go to function to get to the exact same frame the capture it again using media player classic v 6.4.8.1

to do this open your movie/DVD with MPC the stop the movie click on the play menu then goto enter a time value or a frame value space and the fraqme rate i.e. 1200(frame) space 25(Frame rate) click go.

to capture it u can use MPC or just make the frame full screen i.e. right click>> fullscreen and use windows to capture a screen shot by pressing and holdind alt then tap printscreen on ur keyboard

to view the capture open up PSP (paintshop pro) then open a new .jpg file of about 1024*768 then paste the image into it.

hope this helps BazzKozz
