But dont know how to activate them.
Any ideas folks?

either by using the subtitle button on the remote, or a script which changes the system streams.

I think you forgot to set these subpictures as having Forced Start. Then again, it depends on what you mean by the word "activate".

where do I find the "force start" button? in dvd maestro or subrip?

In the color sheme you have 3 settings:

- Sub-picture --> Default color, on all the time
- Button selection --> Color when you select the button
- Button activation --> Color when you press the button

You have to have the Default color activated to see the subpicture in Maestro. Most of the time this is set to black or something. You would think the Button preview selection would change that to the selection, but it doesn't. It only does that when you draw a button over it, and then select the button. But you still don't know where the buttons are.

Also make sure you got the View layer set to sub-picture or both.

In the finalised menu the sub-picture gets activated inside the button over it, so make sure you make your button bigger then the sub-picture it needs to contain.

Also make sure you turn back the color to 0 at Subpicture, or you'll be stuck with the buttons always showing.

At the risk of being glared at by all and sundry, I must ask you to confirm whether or not you have actually defined button fields over your subpics?
