Delete all codecs

I have tried to delete all codecs, but xvid and divx still plays. I have uninstalled them countless ways and run regclean. How do I do?

Or where do I set which FourCC that should be decoded with what?

If you have ffdshow installed, it is a "playback only codec" tool that supports many different codecs, including both DivX and XviD. Uninstall it.

To see if codecs are still installed, go to the Windows Control Panel, click on either Multimedia or Sounds and Multimedia depending on your release of Windows. Codecs are listed on the Hardware tab.
