This has been covered many times, use the search. You need to point dvd-rb to the mpeg2decdg.dll through the options, or copy it to the avisynth/plugins folder.

Click the "show results by post" to make good use of the search function.

I searched for: black red
under DVD Rebuilder forum and found tens of results :)

Apologies for continuing this thread, but I have read the installation guide & sticky etc.

I have pinted Rebuilder to the actual mpeg2decdg.dll file and clicked the "add to AVS file" checkbox and am still getting a blank video (with audio) bit two "fuzzy" red lines along the bottom.

I am using Rebulider V0.45 and CCE V2.5 (with Ecl).

What do you see when you 'play' the avs's in wmp or VDub?

Uninstall any version of AviSynth and install the 2.54 again. Also, uninstall any program that may use AviSynth like DVD2SVCD, it helped me.

djan, incorrect, there is no need to uninstall dvd2svcd. It is extremely well mannered, and does not do stupid stuff to the registry like many other programs. It is completely transparent to DVD-RB.

I didn't mean that but it is maybe the fault of the Avisynth present in the package. I don't think he has a problem related to DVD-RB, I think the problem comes from an installation of avisynth. I say this because I had exactly the same problem in the beginning.

D2S just installs, only if desired, the same avisynth package that everybody else uses. It does nothing other than the same thing you do when you install avisynth directly. Perhaps before the new version came out a couple of days ago, the bundled version of avisynth might have been older but I don't think that would have made any difference and the installation is optional after all.

There are other applications that do the most stupid things, like change your plugin directory and even avisynth directory. What arrogance on the part of whoever programmed them. Don't even get me going on that subject. Rest assured that D2S would never do something like this.

Programmers can be seriously over confidant in their abilities to change things without messing up someone's system.

They should all.... your quote here...!

"They should all.... your quote here...!"

They [Programmers] should all .... shoot themselves before tampering with critical avisynth reg settings that a host of other well mannered programs depend upon. How's that? :)

I know what you are refering too DDogg, I had a program installed which did just that, although it seemed to have nice features, I was just horrified with the changed settings it perform to my system, needless to say that I got rid of it and installed the latest alpha of avisynth :D . As for dvd2svcd, is like you said completely transparent even allowing you to use the already installed avisynth version by clicking cancel on avisynth setup during installation. Once thing I always loved about dvd2svcd is the ability to edit avisynth script files, of course one could also screw up there, nothing like experiment. :)

Djan, you were quite correct, a simple uninstall and re-install of Avisynth 2.5.4 seemed to make Rebuilder work perfectly. (I do have DVD2Svcd installed but left it alone).

Many thanks for you help.
