dvd shrink incorrect parameter

hi all can anybody tell me the meaning of this on dvd shrink,btw i had a duo dvd in the drive at the time being analysed !failed to read E:/ the parameter is incorrect thanks:D

I've done some searching on this problem, but my results were rather inconclusive. Here's a couple of suggestions:

If your DVD burner is a recent upgrade, it's possible that the Region settings aren't enabled as of yet. A link I ran across at the DVD Shrink forum suggested this problem could be overcome by starting the disc in a software player, then either pausing or exiting the playback, and then running Shrink. (This process is known as "authenticating", or "authentication".) I'd try pausing playback, first. The guy that started the thread failed to respond with the proper feedback, :), so I don't know how much credence to lend to this suggested fix; if it works, let us know.

I honestly don't know if the dual layers plays into this problem, but if that's the case, we'll probably hear from someone who does know. Good luck!

thanks for your time and help i will follow up the leads you have given me and hopefully get to the bottom of it.Btw the duo dvd is just two different movies compressed onto one 4.7 gig dvd.:D
