CCE-Basic 2.69 released

I was passing the Cinemacraft homepage and saw this news, which I thought may be of interest.

New features of CCE-Basic version 2.69 are the following :

Change
- Updated encoder engine to 2.69.

Enhancements
- Supported Adobe Premiere Pro. (plug-in version)
- Enabled to output bottom field first stream.
- Added automatic resolution conversion function.
- Added quantization characteristics setting.
- Added de-interlacing function.
- Added blanking function.
- Enabled to save/load template to/from file.
- Enabled to use the last modified parameter setting.
- Enabled to specify file size.
- Enabled to shut down the system when finished encoding.
- Enabled to play a sound file when finished encoding.

Man, they really offer a lot of power in basic. Some tests I did indicated to me that 99% of quality is achieved within 2 passes anyway, assuming the user had allocated a sufficient bitrate. There is a spreadsheet attached to the first post in this (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&postid=481573#post481573) thread that seems to show this fairly well.

What do you think?
This option enables you to determine a special file size in KB or MB (the avg bitrate will be automatically set to achieve destination file size). You will have to do less calculation work.

Anyone tried the new "Shutdown when finished Encoding" on the latest CCE Basic. Does NOT shut down for me. (Windows XP Pro and AMD CPU) :confused:

Re my post above on CCE Basic Shutdown.
I should also mention that I am frameserving from Virtual Dub, not that this should make any difference. MainConcept Encoder and
SC-Live have no problems shutting down the machine when they are finished.
