Hey - I'm having a problem creating mpeg-1 files using TMPG. It seems that no matter what I do, I cannot seek in the file that is produced. If I try in Windows Media Player, the display advances to the new position, but hangs there. If I skip ahead in PowerDVD, the movie keeps playing, but pauses briefly every few seconds.

I've tried ecoding sound+video, video ES (m1v), and video system. My source file is a divx avi, but I've also used dvd2svcd and raw dvd as the source with the same results.

I'm using TMPGEnc 2.521.58.169.

Does anyone have advice that might help?

Thanx,
Zandramas

No, that's normal. Media Player does always act like this, especially with VBR encoded Videos.
