Hey ppl,
I'm a user of Windows Media Player and have noticed that there are bars on the left side of the screen during playback. Is it something to do with my display? PLEASE HELP
OS:Windows XP
RES: 1024 X 768

Hello, and welcome to Doom9's forum!
We won't be able to help a great deal, with what has been provided so far.
Have you tried any other players than WMP? If not, you might try one -- there are several popular players availalbe from Doom9's download pages (http://www.doom9.org/software.htm).
Could you provide more information about the source... for example, was it encoded from analog capture, DV, or DVD source? Which release of DivX? Resolution, bitrate, framerate .... perhaps you could share a still image showing us the problem?
Lastly, your subject isn't very indicative of your trouble. If you were to edit the subject (click "edit" in your first post), changing it to something other than "DivX Cockup" might get more people reading it.

Hey,
The video has been encoded from a camera. It was originally from a download site from the Net.
I was wondering whetha it was the codec or whetha I'm better off installing the codec pack.
