Rescue avi files from unreadable DVD?

I did sth really stupid... I burned 4 GB of avi files onto a dvd and deleted them afterwards from my HD... But I didn't check weather they were readable on the DVD... which they aren't :(

I am now searching for a tool/ a method to recovere these files.



The DVD is:
unreadable in ISOBUSTER (only display "primary volume... unreadable"
nero tells me the session is open (cant continue anotherone though)

any idea :D

Assuming traditional DVD images apps fail...maybe try making an image using something like Norton Ghost. Actually I think that will only function on HDs but you never know...a similar drive imaging app might do the trick. I know these apps can be of use with corrupted HDs.
