AVI to DVD

does anybothy knows how can i make a DVD from an avi video.
i downloadede some films on internet and now i want to burn them on dvd and watch on my tv.

How to do that, can anyone explain me or link me for a guide..

Not the best subject to choose for your first post since there are some rules on this board (see top of the page). First of all, there is a bunch of guides covering your question, which you should read and/or search for before posting. Second, since there is a good chance that you downloaded the illegal copies of the movies, you're not supposed to discuss it here.
