Xvid hardware decoder

Hi!
What´s the current stand on xvid standalone hardware decoders?
I´m from Portugal, and I can get kiss players (and not many more, I think)
Are they any good? When using the most advanced options, will the video playback loose a lot of quality or not? (I know that no player fully supports everything in xvid...) Do I have to reencode videos I get that use the aforementined advanced options???

AFAIK no player fully supports advanced simple profile, yet.

And don't cross-post. Your other thread in the 'hardware players forum' is sufficient.
