Hi
I have had a Freecom +/-DVDRW4B drive for about 3 months. I have written DVD's with no problems up to now.
I am now getting a strange problem. When I insert a blank DVDRW disc it doesn't recognise it. The drive changes from DVDRW (Drive E) to CD (Drive E) in my computer. If I click on the Drive E symbol it comes up with an error.
If I insert a DVD movie into the drive it plays it OK. Does this mean that my writing facility on the drive has broke?? I am baffled.
I have tried shutting the computer down and installing the latest firmware and this had no luck. I have tried 3 blank DVDRW discs and they all had the same effect.
I would be grateful for any help.
