Maybe the smart people in this forum can help me out...I think I've found a bug in Media Player Classic.
Has anybody been able to get their ATI All-In-Wonder card to work using "Open Device" in Media Player Classic? I go there, select the capture driver, click the OK button, MPC with resize itself to be a window about twice as high as wide. Immediately after that MPC hangs just displaying a white box.
It doesn't hang the whole computer (only MPC), but I am unable to terminate MPC with taskmgr. I normally just reboot to get rid of it.
I've tried updating to v6.4.8.2 and I've tried going back to v.6.4.7.5. I'm tempted to try an earlier version as well.
I've tried updating my ATI drivers and have tried going to old ones. Nothing seems to work. Looks like I'm not the only one having this same problem:

I have no problems using this card with other programs. The built-in ATI TV/video capture program works just fine as well as Microsoft's AMCap sample. Tomorrow I'll try Graphedt-ing the card and see if I can get it to work OK using that. I suspect I will be able to do so because I've not had problems with anything other than MPC.
If Gabest is reading this, I'd be happy to do whatever you'd like to diagnose this. I am able to resize the hung up white MPC window, although the title bar says it is not-responding.
Any ideas you all might have would be appreciated.
EDIT: My card is a Radeon 8500DV All-In-Wonder.
