i am a newbie in encoding audio files and stuff...i am currently using cool edit pro. i want to convert my mp3 to wav with 32 bit quality..is that possible?
if it is can i have the guide steps using cool edit pro or any other prog? what do i need? a better sound card or somethign?

sorry I am not sitting in front of this app, but it must be in the menue right from 'files' one of the last options -> convert/transcode or some stuff like this. :rolleyes:

i done the conversion fomr mp3 to wav..then it was a 44100hz if i am not mistaken and 16bit...i converted it to 192000hz and 32bit then i saved it under wav form..it came out two files one the wav file and one .pk file tried burning it into a cd but it says file format not supported..why is this? i am using ahead nero burner..
is ther any other way to do this 32bit conversion which i can burn it into a cd kinda way?:confused: :confused:

CD-audio only supports 16 bit & 44100 Hz.

Nope they don't exist. The sound might be recorded at 32bit but then converted to 16bit and pressed to cd.

you had a MP3 and want to make 32bit WAV for CD-Audio - whatīs the sense in doining this? :confused:

i plan to make some good quality cds like 32bit cds...so i thought i would use mp3 to do the conversion...any how...how can i make a quality cd? is 16bit with 44100hz enough? is there any betteR?

mp3 = never good quality. You know, it's lossy so you'll always loose quality and it will never be as good as 44100khz 16bit cd audio.
If you really want good quality then you have to look for lossless encoders like FLAC or APE. I'm not sure if they can deal with 24 or 32bit recordings.....
