Hi,
I post my experience with DVD Finding Nemo (Italian). This DVD has a complicated structure (over 200 items, 2 angles and so on) but selecting the right items it fits a DVD-R without re compression.
With DVDStripper I've accurately deleted all the unneeded items but the size resulting was 5,4 Gb. So I've tried DVDShrink and Recode to strip out unwanted audio streams but both program crashed during analyzing phase.
Then I've tried DVD2ONE and it worked with a resulting size of 4,08Gb. After viewing the result I've discovered that DVD2ONE HAD trans coded the video! And with bad quality on the menu'...
Then I've tried CloneDVD on the DVDStriper output and it showed only few items among which didn't appear the film!

So I'used CloneDVD with a DVDDecrypter image of the original DVD and it worked but menu' items cannot be deleted and the resulting size was over 4,37Gb.
So I've tried MenuEdit to deleted unwanted men? item but the navigation was screwed up.

Have I to replace CellId instead of removing them?

Does exist another tool to strip out unwanted audio stream without recompressing the video, using DVDStripper output?

Thanks,
bye,
Jok

Strip angle 2 only and use IFOEdit to delete unwanted menus.

Why angle 2?
As DVDStripper doesn't show angles, have I to use CloneDVD to strip angle 2?

Is it possible to remove easily unwanted menus with DVDRemaker?

Thanks,
Jok

Angle 1 includes playing of all extra titles!
Learn with the player of IFOedit, watch titles.

DVDCopy does it well.

Have you fixed ifos after that? http://menuedit.dimad.net/ht_me_replace_cell.html

Yes, DvdReMake will fix everything. Another thing that can be easily done to save space is to hide menu transitions: video between menus without buttons. On some disks they take a considerbale amount of space on the disk.

Thanks to all :)

No, I haven't fixed ifos after using MenuEdit; I've tried DVDRemake demo and it is much simpler!
Only disadvantage about it in respect with DVDStripper is that you can't listen to the clip. So it isn't possible to hide some foreign menù.

Another problem with Nemo DVD:
1) if I strip with CloneDVD only angle 1 -> two chapter aren't there
2) if I strip only angle 2 -> menù doesn't work: when I select start film or select a chapter in chapter menù the main menù is returned
3) if I strip both angles all works OK but it is oversize

Regarding point 2) is it possible to adjust menù?

Regarding point 3) is it possible to remove unneeded angle with DVDRemake (i.e. final credits) ?

Thanks,
Jok

After trying various software I came up with a VIDEO_TS folder with a size of about 4.5 Gb. The end credits chapter is made up of two cells, one for every angle (english and italian credits). If I remove angle 1 (english) of the end credit with DVDStripper, resulting in a size of 4.18 Gb, the navigation is screwed up: after the last chapter before end credits, chapter 3 is played (the first chapter with angle 2 ) instead of end credits angle 2. Swapping angles on DVD player doesn't fix the problem.

Is there a tool to fix the navigation or to strip angles correctly ?

Thanks,
Jok

Solved :)

I fixed the navigation with IfoEdit, changing cell type and PGC Map for the last chapter (end credits).
