View Full Version : Annoying bug in DVD Shrink (3.0b5)?

Has anyone ever experienced the following problem in DVD-Shrink?
I've a DVD that I reauthored, discarding all of the extras and extraneous audio tracks. The problem is the audio I selected is the 2-channel Dolby (audio stream 0x81) and discarded the Dolby 6-ch sound (audio stream 0x80)

The DVD reauthored fine, BUT the audio track that I selected was NOT remapped to 0x80. It still shows as 0x81 in my burned DVD. I only kept the single audio track. I think it should have been remapped to 0x80. This DVD plays without sound in PowerDVD and my standalone because I think there always needs to be an 0x80 AC3 audio stream present on every DVD.. Is that correct?

Questions:

1. Is there anyway using IFOEdit to change the audio stream from 0x81 to 0x80 in the VTS_01_0.ifo file? I couldn't find a way.

2. Is this a bug in DVD Shrink? I'm using 3.0b5. Has it been corrected in a later version?

Thanks for your help.

You can't remap the stream in IFOEdit, but you can swap the Audio Stream status numbers (or just 0 out the ones you removed so your players skips over them). Check out 2COOL's guides in the IFO edit forum for instructions.

However, an easier solution would be to use the latest version of DVDShrink and enable the remap streams option.

That is normal. It has always done it and is supposed to work like that.

If you want to remap audio, it is now an option in Shrink 3.1.7.6 (full disk). If you reauthor, you can also select a default audio and subtitle track.
