I capture with iuVCR at 29.970 fps (huffyuv lossless) and 44.1 KHz PCM audio. I need the end file to be 29.970 fps and 44.1 KHz, but the problem is that it gets out of sync gradually. My question is mainly with the options of the VirtualDub Frame Rate Control panel. I usually select:

"Change so video and audio durations match"

which converts the fps down to about 29.959. So, could I then go to the "Frame Rate conversion" part and enter 29.970 in the "Convert to fps" box and end up with a synced file?

I don't think you can resync audio in VDMOD after the fact. What happens if you capture with VDMOD? I have a VDF to WDM wrapper if you need it. This allows you to capture in VD or VDMOD e-mail rfmmars@cox.net

And if you can't use VDubMod for capturing due to WDM drivers, try VirtualVCR. It has a dynamic audio resampling feature to keep the sync.

Even better, try Virtual Dub VCR. Set by Capture Timing first option - resample dinamically...
By experience it gives best sync with framedrops, for example by capturing VHS tapes.

I'm not really sure what your asking,

but If I have it right,

you should be capturing at 29.9697 fps with VirtualDub,
and huffyuv is good, but MJPEG by leadtools is better

I'm also assuming you've tried VirtualDub with 29.970 fps, which didn't work, so you are using iuVCR now?

Actually, I used iuVCR first, then tried VirtualDub, but it didn't work probably because it was set to capture at 29.970. I'll try it with 29.9697. I read somewhere that's due to an internal glitch, I think, correct me if I'm wrong. As of right now, I'm capturing at 29.970 fps and 44.1 KHz PCM with NO master stream, and then I'm applying a time stretch to get the audio duration just right, then muxing it with the video file with the appropriate delay.
