View Full Version : Problems with ReAuthorist and the big3 guide

Hello there!

I'm having problems with the "big 3 guide" (http://www.doom9.org/mpg/ra-guide.htm)

In the guide, I'm at step 3 where ReAuthorist is opened.
The problem is that ReAuthorist doesn't show any audio-tracks...
DIF4U has ripped the audio, that I can se in the folder for each VTS. example: http://195.38.1.91/adelgren/alex/VTS02.png

Why doesn't ReAuthorist find the audio-files that DIF4U stipped out from the video?

hi muppkungen, and welcome to the forum!

i have a sneaking suspicion that it is a result of the truncated file names of the audio tracks.
you could try adjusting the file name from currently: VTS_02_PGC_01-0x80-Audio-AC3-2ch-48kHz-DRC-Unknown(' to VTS_02_PGC_01-0x80-Audio-AC3-2ch-48kHz-DRC-Unknown.AC3 but i really am only guessing here.

your other option is to encode using the bitrates that DIF4U calculated (always recommended) by opening the CCEData.txt file in DoCCE4U. then adding your audio manually to the tracks in Scenarist following import of the ReAuthorist generated script.

good luck

Thanks jel!

The renaming didn't work, but I'll try your other tip as soon as I've had breakfast :)

Thanks again!

Well the filenaming is still wrong. You will have problems later on anyway. Maybe dif4u won't calculate the bitrate correctly either, because of the wrong filenaming. if I were you i would concentrate on getting proper filenaming before starting to encode, cause it would be a waste of time if you find out later it turns out that things are not ok.

Both Ra and scenaid will not be able to create a proper script this way.

Hmm... Is there any way to find out what ReAuthorist wants the audio-files to be named?
Or is there any file that I can edit to get ReAuthorist to find the audio-files?

Maybe I missed it but what version of DIF4U and DVDDecrypter are you using?

your files names are the default of DVDDecrypter - not renamed at all by DIF4U.....

check your logfile for DIF4U and see if says "renaming file......" for those audio...

Flu is correct as well.. if the filenames aren't renamed correctly, your bitrate calcs will be totally wrong

DoItFast4U is version 1.4.0 and my DVDDecrypter is 3.2.1.0

I put the whole log up here: http://195.38.1.91/adelgren/alex/doitfast4u.log

Seems like it doesn't rename the audio-files at all?

Yep your right.. might want to email eyes about it... looks like current version may not be renaming with newer DVDDecrypter.

also, you know you have frame diagnosis off? probably should turn that on

Thanks D3s7.

I've emailed Eyes, hope he can help.

I believe this issue is fixed in the current betas, so I'm not sure if it's an issue anymore...

On the plus side, if you use the latest version and it still happens, I'll definitely fix it for you ;)

I hadn't done a back up in a few weeks and when I opened ReAuthorist the preview feature isn't working. The window goes blank when I click play. Any help would be deeply appreciated.

Most common problems with the preview window are due to directx / video card drivers

I'd make sure you have latest DirectX and/or compatible VC drivers.

Also, with that in mind, see if you installed/changed anything in the last few weeks that would have updated either

Thanks so much. It was my ATI 9800 All-In-Wonder Pro I recently installed. I updated all drivers but still the preview wouldn't work. I went back to my Geforce TI4600 and all is well.
