Ok as many allready know Convergence the initiors of the Linuxtv driver and many other projects as Directfb are now corporateing with Galaxis www.galaxis.de to promote their new Set-Top Box and Viewer generation. I would like to know what do you think about the Viewer (non Opensource) and the whole Project in general one thing im a little courious about myself is that this Linux Boot Cd with the Player on it needs Hardware Activation (Microsoft Way) i wonder why that's the case. The Player interface is well designed and the MHP functions are working as they intend todo to my knowledge their is no real MHP (working) plugin for VDR right now so that Player would be the only way to use MHP @ the moment. And maybe some insiders could point me to infos why Dr. Overdrive (main guy behind the Linux Driver) and some others left Convergence maybe because of this Way they going now ?
