Hi! I have a problem with DVD Architect. I recorded a tv show and then i converted it into dvd with DVD Architect but i can only watch it from beginning to the end, i can't jump to any position i want, kinda like it was with asf or wmv files which had no keyframes and you had to watch it whole every time. Did i miss something in the settings for the dvd? Can i fix it with any of the programs or do i have to reencode it once more (i REALLY don't wanna do that again).

Thanx

Seems as though you forgot to set your chapter points. In the object properties page, you should be able to set the chapters. It's really been awhile since i've used the program.

Aren't chapter points for chapters only? Shouldn't i be able to jump from one part of the movie to a specific spot without chapters like in a regular dvd? I didn't put any chapters since this is the first time i'm making a dvd from my own captures so i didn't wanna bother with it.

How do you think 'regular' DVDs jump to specific points? Randomly generate a time code and jump to it? Detect a scene change and jump to that. No. Chapters. You need chapters.

You need chapters.Maybe the man is talking about time search. That is when you input certain time with the remote and jump to it. It can be prohibited as UOP, and if this is the case, it can be fixed by removing user prohibitions with IfoEdit. That's of course if there is only one PGC per each title, otherwise time search might not work either way.
