TV Capturing Quality

What would you suggest for capturing anime/animated shows with decent to a lot of action with a range of 35 - 80 megs/episode (I will go a max of ~100) with a decent amount of quality.
XviD does speed well, but quality and size not so good. 3ivX does speed and good compression quality, but the filesize is still big. I refuse to use DivX (I hate the way it looks, but will use if someone can suggest something good). I'm at a loss...any suggestions?

Download a demo MJPEG codec from Leadtools.com If you like it,and I bet you will, shell out $9.95 US for it.

I already have PicVideo's MJPEG encoder, however, I do not like the way the finished product looks. That's why I am looking for a codec/codec setting that, after I capture with the MJPEG, I can reicode into something smaller for archiving (I capture with PV MJPEG on 18-19, with PCM 44,100 KHz audio, looks reeeal nice, but waaay too big.)Thsnks again,

Ever tried to use a DV-Codec as Capture-Codec? It captures at a fixed Bitrate (3.5 MByte/s).
