Please help with svcd question

Hi, im sort of new to all this stuff and have a question. I have a few movies in MPG format, is there anyway I can watch them on my dvd player/TV. I have downloaded .bin and .cue files before and all that was required was to burn them using Nero and quality was good (SVCD). But if i burn the mpg file straight to a cd, it won't play on my dvd player. Whats the best way to get around this. Thanks and hope im in the right section.

New members should really read the forum rules, especially #6

you're going to have to burn them to a cd either way, why not let it be dvd compliant

my dvd player plays *.mpg & *.jpg directly from the cd (if only i can figure out how to make it play LD)
