How do you run Test 1 in IFO Edit?

I opened a video_ts.ifo file in ifo edit and went to run test 1 (as it was recommended in a guide I saw, when creating different playlists in DVD Maestro and it doesn't work). Both the tests in the menu are grayed out and I can't run them...
