This is the first time that i got this error, i was backing up Matrix Revolution Region 2 disc1, everything went fine until i hit the start button in scenarist 3.0, below is the log of the error, i used doitfast4u 1.4, latest sceneaid and batchccews.

VTS 1 is the main movie with 6 pgcs pgc1 and 2 is fine but pgc 3 to 6 had some audio error on it. I have no idea on what is causing the problem, the dvd layout has 3 audio on the main movie 1 6 channel english, 1 6 channel French and 1 2 channel English, i deselect the French audio leaving the 2 english audio intact

Any idea on this one

hi robinripper,
although i have not seen these errors before, nor have i upgraded to scenarist 3.0 yet, i have a some suggestions you can try.

from this thread: new Scenarist error? (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=70688) you could try charpunk's and D3s7's suggestions of running the offending audio tracks through ac3fix or ac3delaycorrector, delete the corresponding .vif files for VTS_01 and re-open your Scenarist project ... or better yet, create a whole new project with the same script and re-import.
make sure though that the 'fixed' audio files are named the same as the existing (you will have to delete the existing following fixing and before renaming ;) )

another thing to check for me is whether the 6ch audio is DTS. if so you will manually have to change the audio from 'place holder > data' in the 'data editor'.

hope that helps

Hi I did this title myself and had the same problems. For some reason scenaid had used wrong dummy files. The bitrate of the dummies was wrong, causing the script not to compile. I have adjusted this manually to make it work. I don't quite remember all the details but I'll give a general example to explain things:

pgc1 has 3 audio tracks:

audio 1 448 kb
audio 2 448 kb
audio 3 224 kb

pgc2 has also 3 audio tracks, but only audio track 3 is used this is a trailer of the movie. track 1 and 2 are empty but to comply to the dvd standards it needs to have 3 audio tracks so layout should be:

Pgc2:

audio 1 448 kb dummy
audio 2 448 kb dummy
audio 3 224 kb (audio for trailer)

now what happened (more or less was the following):

PGC1:
audio 1 448 kb
audio 2 448 kb
audio 3 224 kb

pgc2:
audio 1 224 kb dummy
audio 2 224 kb dummy
audio 3 224 kb

so since the first two audio tracks of pgc2 have a different bitrate than pgc1 scenarist won't compile. Waht I did to correct this was downloading some dummy streams from http://dvdguides.trilight.net and replace the dummies scenaid used with the downloaded ones (making sure the correct bitrate was used). After this it compiled without problem.

I've never seen this problem occur with RA btw so that would also be an optiopn maybe 9I believe revolutions could be simply done by PGC, so RA is a possibility)

Hmm.. I'll double check the code... I knew this was a problem before .5 but I thought I took care of it w/ that...

Flu: did you 'just' try this release IE post .5?

D3s7 you've sent me so much version that I really don't know which one I used. ;) I thought the pre 13, but I'm not sure (and this title is the only time I had this problem btw, so maybe it's something special) :D

Well, guys thank you all for the replies i did manage to compile this title by using reauthorist, i could not find any guides on replacing the audio dummies with the one i downloaded from trilight and im stuck on that part. I thought i can completely remove reauthorist from the chain, as what happened i think not yet.

Cheers !!!

1. add 448 kb audio dummy folder (downloaded from trilights site) into data editor. (you can use drag 'n' drop approach or through scenarist menu)

2. open up the troublesome pgcs in the track editor, locate the incorrect dummy audio files, highlight and delete.

3. add required new audio tracks, and drag'n'drop the 'new dummy' audio file from the 'data' panel (bottom right window) onto the new audio streams. remember to set languages to match other pgcs within the vts.

4. repeat for all problematic pgcs

5. compile

I have also just backed up theis movie (R2 - UK) but I have the problem where if you select the trailers, it defaults to the first audio track which for the trailers is a dummy track and thus you get no sound unless you select audio track 3. Does anyone have any idea to what I have done wrong or need to do?

hi Alan,

sorry not exactly sure what went wrong there, it could be a number of things. as far as glitches go, its a suprisingly common one, which is why there is so many guides on the subject of changhing the audio play order:

1. the help file that comes with DIF4U
2. Eyes`Only Knowledge Base
3. Trilights guides (in tips and tricks section)
4. doom9's guide (at the end of the guide)
5. 2Cools Ifoedit guides.
