Could someone tell me if there is a good audio editor available that supports MP2 files? I have ripped the audio from an XviD but there is a nasty 'click' in the file at the begining. I have SoundForge 7 and I have tried a number of other programs but non like MP2 files and I also need to keep the format as MP2. Thanks!

:rolleyes:
this should work for you:
convert the mp2 to wav (besweet);
edit (only turn the volume to zero at this passage) with SoundForge;
and reconvert to mp2 (besweet)

I personally donīt know any app which works with mp2 (without converting intern to wav)

Thanks daphy - could there be any quality loss with that? I have just found Blaze Media Pro or the audio part of that AudioEdit Deluxe, which supports MP2 files but I have yet to test if this works!

hm - every decoding/encoding process with a lossy file format (as MP2/MP3/AC3/DTS/AAC...) means quality loss :(
Lossles format are f.e. APE, MPC(?)

Well after testing Blade Media Pro, I personally found it to be too slow - took ages just to apply a fade in! So I just converted it to a wave and back and that worked fine!
