Hoping somebody here can advise if any authoring program will allow me to compile a video_ts folder that's over 9.4gig (dvd-9). transcoders won't go much below 2:1 ratio or 50% compression, so i would like to be able to author 10-12gig data into a video_ts folder then use the incredible dvd-rebuilder (using CCE to re-encode) to fit to dvd-5.

So far, DVD-Lab, TMPGEnc DVD Author, Sonic MyDVD, Ulead products won't allow or crap out with error past the dvd-9 size point. Guess authoring programs were never made with the notion that someone might want to compile a huge product and just use a one-click solution like dvd-rebuilder to shrink output vs re-encoding each individual file and then authoring those smaller files. Any program allow me to do the above task?

As a workaround, try to compress your video before authoring a DVD. If you wish, split your projects in two or more parts, author a simplest DVD out of each, and compress them separately. Then demux the compressed DVDs and author a new one that would fit onto DVD-5.

thanks, but i'm looking for a program or a way to compile the whole project and then just use dvd-rebuilder to compress to dvd-5. My method thus far has been to re-encode files prior to authoring so that project size would fit on dvd-5...so that works, BUT "one-click" option and the ability to use CCE with dvd-rebuilder is what I'm after. **using dvd-rebuilder does not require to know how to framerve mpg files or use avisynth or use dvd2avi and vfapi converter,etc...hope you get my drift!

Question: why won't authoring programs let you compile a video_ts folder larger than dvd-9 (let you "ignore" warning). Although tmpgenc dvd author let's you ignore that warning, the compile craps out with funky error after size passes dvd-9 size.
