...five of the largest U.S. distributors of pre-recorded music CDs and three large retailers agreed to pay millions of dollars in cash and free CDs as part of an agreement on price-fixing allegations.
Did I expect to actually see the cash or free CDs? Nope. Was I wrong? Yep. I got a check in the mail from CD MAP Antitrust Litigation for the enormous sum of $13.86... wow was I surprised!
Unfortunately they will most likely price fix again. But, I'm sure they won't mind if I download all my music and prefer to support the artists by attending concerts instead of buying overpriced CDs or DRM'd lossy downloads.
I've seen cribs on TV, I can never feel bad for such an industry.
