Hi,
here in our company we still got an orig! Version of CCE 2.5 and I wanted to patch the matrixes using the patcher.
BUT: No matter which matrix I choose, the ready encoded stream always ends up with a bad quantisation, means artefacts and blocks. If the CCE 2.50 is reverse-patched back to its orig. CCE Matrix everything will be encoded fine.
I took an encoding where a diff. Matrix was patched to CCE and loaded it into Restream. There I did find out that the IntraMatrix field says "cce std." :eek: and the non intra matrix field is set to "same as source" automatically and the values therefore in the non-intra field where correct as used in the patcher.
Shure, I did load the patcher matrix values in restream and did a test re-safe using restream so the intra and also non intra values are the same as set in the CCE patcher ..... but no success.
This blocky/artefacty result does appear in every mode (VBR/CBR) and any bitrate if a matrix is choosen in the patcher other than CCE std.
Anybody got a solution to this?
