Hi there, I am really in need of some help.

I've used voberator, ifoedit and tmpgenc to strip the original dvd from the extras menu languages en re-encoded with tmpgenc to created a smaller video file. But I am having a strange problem, I followed the guide of stripping the extras from a dvd and I never had a problem. Now, when I open the dvd with powerdvd and when I try to go into the trailer menu, I click the button and nothing happens. the background video freezes and the counter on powerdvd start but never stops. I opened the VTS_01_0.vob with vobrator and saw that the trailer menu was stil present, how can I relink the trailer button in the extras menu back to the trailer menu, so I get a full working dvd-disc again?

Hope somebody knows the answer...

I would recommend using DVDShrink to still-picture the german menus and remove their audio (gets them down to pretty small sizes). Perhaps still-picturing the trailers menu on the english menu. And using no compression for the movie, then encode the movie with DVD-Rebuilder in 3pass for good results.

Sometimes when you strip a menu using ifoedit or other means, you unknowingly remove a piece that is shared by all the languages and the menu navigation bombs out.

isn't there anyway of relinking the menu back to it's original stae, because i don't have the original dvd anymore. I only have these files with only a brocken link, and I don't want to completely reauthor the dvd either. Isn't it just a simpel fact of relinking that button in the VTS_01_0.ifo file back to the vob-id the menu is located in (vob-id 5 in this case)?

but thanks for the reply!

what I wan't to do is farely simple. special features menu is in VOBID-14 and the trailer menu is in VOBID-15. Now the features menu has two buttons of which I assume the trailer button I want to relink is button #1. I want to link that button to VOBID-15, and when I've done that, I guess my problems are over...

Does anybody know how to do this?
