Hi people,
I coded a simple AC3 En/Decoder. This is the first public beta release.
You can use AVI, AC3, MP2 and MP3 as Source and encode it to MP2 and AC3.
Try it out and tell me what You think.
Download ACDrei 0.1c (http://rj-elektronik.de/avideo/files/ACDrei.exe) (This version need FFMPEG (http://rj-elektronik.de/avideo/files/ffmpeg.exe)).
P.S. The first start tooks longer. ACDrei searches for ACDrei.exe and creates a INI. Next time it loads the INI.
This is the last Version for ffmpeg. I change to BeSweet-Core

ACDrei.exe hangs indefinitely at splash screen
System is an Athlon XP 2400+ running Windows 2000 SP3

You mean it chrashes. No it search only for the EXE and creates a INI. Next start is quicker!
p.s. New version is out...

Oh indeed
My bad
It does not seem to be resampling from 44.1 to 48kHz though
Also is it not supposed to do any kind of upsampling when encoding from a stereo source to 5.1?

ffmpeg I used for encoding. Now they changed the license for some features. I looked into the configure-file and hacked it. To get no trouble with doom9.org I removed the FFMPGH build from the pack I linked here. Download the needed file at my page.
(So far we are... now we must even hack freeware...)

Hi,
any further development since vers.0.1c? :(
I thought this could be another handy freeware tool for encoding to AC3 or whatever
I´ve added your homepage just to give the folks here the chance to look for updates ;)
