I'm trying to get some 2hour long captures (from my TV tuner) onto DVDs.

Using Roxio's DVD Builder, You can only fit an mpeg that is about 80 minutes long. Unfortunately the software does not have an option to either compress or cut the video. Actually you can cut the video with some mpegs, but not with others. With the mpeg captures from my TV tuner, the option to cut the files is grayed out.

I have tried both TMPEG and MPEG2CUT, and they both leave the audio out of sync. I'd say lip-sync about a 1/2 second off.

So is there either:

a) software which will compress and burn the movies (preferably freeware).

DVDShrink for example does a great job of compressing movies but it will only accept files ripped directly from another DVD. It won't take MPEG2 files.

or...

b) mpeg cutting software that doesn't loose the audio sync
