View Full Version : Jerky playback in MPC - why?

Hi I'm using a tv-card to capture recording on my harddisk (single pass XVID 1.0 rc3) - and have been using zoomplayer to playback these files - and it works very well.

But I would like to use MPC - because I think it is much easier to setup (I have some other media files that I cant figure out how to play using Zoomplayer - but MPC plays these files easily).

BUT now comes my problem, the Tv-recordings is very jerky when played back in MPC, but smooth in zoom.
As far as I can see the same filters are used in the two players: (WMR9), XVID decoder, default directsound device, Audio switcher - so why this difference?

Thanks
Steen

You can disable the internal avi filter (AVI Splitter) in view -> Options -> Filters.
