This is my fisrt try to make a good custon matrix, y use de multiplication of the rows and columns numered from 1 to 8 to
see the power of quantification equivalency betwen fields and de order of this. y tested both with satisfactory results, Its a good try?

Is there a reason why you choose the inter matrix the way you did?

Ps.: still looking for some good hints how to decide how inter matrices should look like.

I donīt have any reason fore chose the intermatrix, but the inter matrix is more critical for a good compresion than the normaly thinked, for this i prefer dont make the same as the intra matrix for the inter matrix and use in this a lower values, if they have a highter values the P nad B frame can be degradet much.

We could do a encode 10x with different inter values @ desired filesize (2Pass)...

Intra = Standard MPEG matrix

Inter = Random values

Then we compare the results with our eyes n' maybe a PSNR test too !!!

But what do use as source then... :confused:

Have you the German (PAL/R2) version of The Matrix ???

When yes, we could use the "lobby shootout" chapter...


Suggestions for the XviD settings then ???
