Scenarist on Cinemaster C3.0 with Quadro

I have just purchased a Cinemaster C3.0 card for the purpose of previewing Scenarist in an external monitor and was wondering If anyone had any experience of using the C3.0 with higher end Quadro cards like the 750xgl or the 980xgl, as I need these for my Avid pro which is on the same system. What I am really wondering is whether the internal VMI cable is necesary for external viewing with the C3.0. It seems the newer high end Quadro cards don't come with VMI connectable pins!
