I have used dtsdec to create (what I thought was) a 5.1 wav file, using the following command line.
dtsdec -o wav6 > file.wav file.dts, and
dtsdec -o wavall > file.wav file.dts
However when I try to read the file none of my audio applications will read it. I've tried Besweet and CoolEdit with no luck. CoolEdit reports "headerless RAW data file". Am I missing something in the dtsdec command line?
As a test I used BeSweet to convert a 5.1 AC3 to to a 5.1 WAV. and had no problems with reading the file in Besweet or CoolEdit. Also any of the stereo outputs from dtsdec seem to be working fine in both programs.
I'm using CoolEdit 2000 and Besweet 1.5b26
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
