Add / edit chapter point

Is it possible to add some extra chapter points to a
DVD without reauthoring it.

I mean can you load an ifo file in IFOEDIT and edit or add chapter points.

I have reauthored some dvd's incl menu, but none of the chapter points in the chaptermenu is right.

Can i edit it so it points to the correct place on the dvd .

You can only add a chapter point at the beginning of a cell. If you don't have a cell break at the point you want to add a chapter, you can't get around it without re-authoring.

However, if you talking about making a backup, then probably the chapter menu buttons originally pointed to the right chapters, so it's possible that you only have to adjust chapter numbering in the menu. For example, when you split DVD-9 into two parts, the chapter numbers on the second disc will restart from 1. There is a guide on this site covering this situation.
