ok, i downloaded some vob files that are trailers for dts and ac3. i want to demux them so i can put them into dvdmaestro. i go into vobedit and i go to demux just the video, and the m2v that comes out is still having the audio in. both videos this happens to. i demultiplex them in tmpeg and it still keeps the audio. i encode the videos it keeps the audio. what the hell is up with this? i can't think of anything else to get around this.

Welcome to the forums.
It's physically impossible for a demuxed file to contain more than one stream, otherwise it wouldn't be called de-multiplexing. It's either something very simple, or you're doing something wrong. Try one little thing: once you demuxed .m2v, rename it. Some programs/players are capable of picking up audio file with the same name if the video doesn't have any audio.
What exactly do you encode in this case and how? There should be no need to re-encode VOB files. If you still can't figure this out, describe your demuxing process step by step using TMPGEnc for example.

yea uh, i use mplayer classic, and it does automatically load audio even if the name isn't the same. that one movie i was trying was messed up, so i tried another trailer and it's working great. i'm just working on trying to get it all work and understanding how to build this thing in dvdmaestro.
