I like to set cce manually rather than use docce4u.I was just curious as to wether you have to import the cce chapter info that docce4u does ?

when you set a chapter in cce.. it puts an I-frame in the spot you pick.. why we do that is so when you set a scene time (chapter time) in scenarist, since it can only pick the closest I-frame to the time you choose. w/out setting the frame in cce, your chapter could be up to 15 frames off. so the answer is.. no, you dont HAVE to.. but your chapter points may be slightly off (only a few frames tho)

the effect is exagerated a bit with small scenes.. but still you can get away with it in most cases.

Scenarist places the chapter point at the nearest i-frame, not the nearest i-frame further down the video stream (as is possible in Maestro).

The result is that if you skip to a certain chapter, you may get a few frames of the previous scene and then a sudden switch to the new scene.

I found this out after using ProCoder (which doesn't support i-frame insertion) for encoding, and considered it rather annoying when testing the disc on a standalone.

So my advice is, yes import the chapterlist (well, append it to the ecl anyway).

Add to bottom of ECL, so it looks like this:

encode_last=1000000 (this line is already there)
chapter=0:
chapter=1:
chapter=2:
chapter=3:
chapter=4:
