However, this one uses WinXP embedded and a Sigma Xcard.

Anyways, it looks pretty good to me...

@SeeMoreDigital
i doubt that someone would pay so much for a standalone what a license from Microsoft cost for XP Embedded :P and first you have to get such a license wich is not easy @ all :D
btw Windows XP Embedded was designed for Set-top Boxes and that kind off Kiosk use but it's still not really flexible better is to wait for Windows CE 5.0 wich will also be based on components but much smaller ;) anyway the best for Embedded use flexible, fast and SECURE are still *nix based soutions thats also on what the most popular things buildup like for example XboX Mediacenter and others and that will be also the choice for Pandora ofcourse that means that such standalones won't support WMV9 for a long time.
About the Sigma Card come on such stuff is outdated :P newest embedded solutions come with Mpeg4 Decoding in the Core allready

But where are the stand-alone players that offer MP4 container compatibility, automatic anamorphic playback, 4.36GB Mpeg4 file playback, multiple image pixel frame sizes, adjustable output image size playback, scart RGB and/or component YUV or YPbPr/RGB connection!
Sure, as a PC user I've tried loads of fancy TV output graphics cards but none has come close in terms of image quality and flexibility.
And will any of these 'newest' embedded solutions offer the same level of output connectivity that me and my big screen have been enjoying since mid 2002?
As I've said before, when such solutions arrive I'll ditch my Xcard but until that day dawns I'll keep on using it... and mentioning it!
Cheers
