Is TBC-1000 for NTSC or PAL only ? Or for both ?

I just got off he phone with a guy who works for the company that makes TBC-1000 and he told me that these units are designed for either NTSC or PAL, but not for both.

However I've seen the feature list and it says NTSC/PAL autodetect.

So which is it ? CAn anyone who has this unit shed some light ?
