Hmmm. Besweet seems to fail. Open your encoded_audio.mp2 file with any kind of media player. How long is it? It should be 1:27:02.

Manngo,

I've also got this error which I'm alluding to in this post (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=74530).

I get the error in the log as:
Total bitrate too HIGH. Audio(1) PTS(659681214) is less than SCR(659681228) (around 02:02:09;19).

When I open the Encoded_audio_1.mp2 file it's length is indeed 02:02:09, which is interesting because the runtime in GSpot is 02:09:14, so by the time the audio gets to scenrist it is 7 mins short.

When I also open the Extracted_audio_1.mpa file, it also comes up short. But this time it is only 2:07:22!! - about two minutes short.
I've listened to both audio tracks and they cut off i.e there isn't any timeshift.

When I created my AVI some of the AVI's had "Improper VBR Audio encoding" - VDub. So I ripped the audio out and recompressed at 128.

What do I have to do to my source AVI's to ensure that the audio gets processed correctly in AVI2DVD?

Cheers

Check if the last DVD chapter is the end credits or a few seconds of a still image. If is a still image this confuses scenarist. You have to delete this chapter at the beginning before ripping,or in the track editor tab in scenarist. Look more in this http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?threadid=63077&highlight=Scenarist+Failed

The problem is not with the chapters, it is with scenarist not getting the a complete audio file to match up with the video.

I've stated that the audio extract process cuts the audio off short:

The AVI's runtime time is 02:09:14.
The Extracted_audio_1.mpa time is 2:07:22 (MadPlay?)
The Encoded_audio_1.mp2 time is 02:02:09 (Besweet?)

I've listened to both audio tracks and they cut off i.e there isn't any timeshift.

There is some attribute of my AVI which is causing the audio to not be extracted correctly in AVI2SVCD.

I'm going to try extracting and converting the audio to Mp2 myself and substituting it in and I'll post back the result tomorrow.

Any other ideas out there as to why the audio process is cutting off the last few minutes.

Thanks

@Chubb
As I see you are doing a frame rate coversation. In this case the your film will be shorter, so your audio has to be. It is done at the besweet step. So .mp2 (after besweet) is normal to be shorter than .mpa.
The bitrate too high error appears also, when the audio stream is corrupt. You could try to run besliced on it. (it also have a GUI, that do that very fast). After fixed, just rename the new file to Encoded_audio_1.mp2 and restart D2S. Hope this works.
