DvDX crashes when selecting input

I have used dvdx for a while now and generally its been pretty good
for what i use it for vcd,s with embedded subtitles.

However recently its decided to crash everytime i select the input files.

I saw a post that aspi layer may be corrupt sounded like it was a similar problem to mine.

being as how i uninstalled a lot of other software i guess its possible any other suggestions and where would i get a new aspi layer

Well something has changed I think it is related to the film type
normally I would be converting PAL dvd to Pal Vcd and the source
is NTSC maybe having a PAL framerate instead of NTSC is what was
causing the problem can anyone confirm this.
