2 DVD9 => 2 or 3 DVD5

LOTR EE is 2 DVD9 discs. Which guide should I look at to rip just the movie and DD5.1, join it with the part 2, and then make my own split points.

Eventhough I am a newbie, and have not got that much experience, I feel I can answer this..

Using DVDshrink you can make a copy of the original disk and reduce it's size (by extracting the movie & sound only), and then use dvdlab to trim the end of the first part shorter.
Tmepg should also be able to make them into one big part, or in three smaller ones.

But first is the extracting, then the combining, and then the partioning of the new file.
